The video tool is a closed system. To get started, navigate to the central projects page. Here, if necessary, you will be prompted to log in.
- New User: If you are invited, you will receive an email with a link to set your password. After setting it, you will be automatically redirected to your personal projects overview.
- Existing User: Log in with your known credentials.
- Projects Overview: After logging in, you'll see a list of links to all video projects to which you have been specifically invited. Click on a project to start reviewing.
Once on a project page, you'll see the feedback interface. This consists of a number of core components:
- Video gallery: At the top you will find a row of thumbnails. Click on a video to load it into the main player. The active video has a blue border.
- Video player: The large player on the left. Play the video and pause at the exact moment you want to give feedback.
- Timeline: Below the video, you will see a timeline. Each time feedback is logged, a colored marker appears here. Click on a marker to make the video jump directly to that time.
- Give feedback: Enter your comment in the text field and click the LOG button. Your comment will immediately appear (with your unique color) in the list.
- Comment List: On the right side you will see a list of all comments posted, sorted with the newest at the top. Each reviewer has its own consistent color. You can delete your own comments by clicking on the cross (Ć).
The tool is designed for collaboration. Therefore, there are two ways to keep the team informed:
- Invite New Reviewers: At the bottom of the page you will find the "Invite a new reviewer" option. Enter a name and email address and click the button. The person will be created as a user and gain immediate access to the project you are currently working on.
- Update the Group: Have you finished a series of comments? Click the Update the Group (entire project) button. This will send an email with a complete summary of all feedback from all videos in this project to all participants.
At the top of each project page you will see a welcome bar.
- Here you can see that you are logged in correctly.
- Use the Log out button to safely end your session.
